Born here, still getting lost here, and apparently never learning our lesson.
We’re a small team who love two things: taking photos and wandering into places we probably shouldn’t. That combination is how this whole thing started.
We kept noticing that visitors to Chongqing all ended up at the same handful of spots, taking the same handful of photos — while the city we actually grew up in stayed invisible to them. The steep little staircases. The noodle shops with no English sign and no need for one. The backstreets that don’t show up on any map.
We show people the Chongqing we know — the offbeat corners, the food worth climbing six flights of stairs for, the small moments that don’t make it onto a postcard.
Some of it we’ll cook with you. Some of it we’ll just walk you into and let you figure out. All of it is the version of this city we’d show a friend who came to visit.
